Hoda Aslanfard

Hoda Aslanfard joined Ford O’Brien Landy LLP in 2017 as an Accountant/Bookkeeper while completing her studies at NJCU. After earning her Master of Science in Accounting, she transitioned into a full-time Accountant role.

As Controller, Hoda is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial operations, including financial reporting, general ledger management, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll administration, cash management, banking activities, account reconciliations, monthly billing and invoicing, taxation matters, and regulatory compliance requirements. She works closely with the firm’s external CPA advisors in the preparation and review of tax returns, financial reporting obligations, and tax compliance matters, coordinating the necessary documentation and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records.

Hoda oversees employee benefit administration, including 401(k) and health insurance programs. She leads the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial statements, including Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets, providing Partners and firm leadership with timely financial reporting, insights, and analysis to support informed strategic decision-making. Through effective financial oversight and strong internal controls, she helps ensure the firm’s continued financial stability, operational efficiency, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.

She works closely with management to ensure the firm’s financial integrity, maintain compliance with applicable tax laws and accounting standards, strengthen internal controls, and improve operational efficiency.
