Biography

Christine Isaacs represents individuals and businesses in high-stakes civil and criminal investigations, litigation, and regulatory-enforcement defense. She also handles appeals, conducts internal investigations, and represents clients in defamation matters, in connection with which she engages in comprehensive reputation management. Her experience includes representing clients in various industries, including financial services, investment banking, media and entertainment, and information technology. Her experience also touches on all parts of the civil and criminal litigation process, including trial, discovery, and motion practice during from the inception of the case to post-trial briefing and appellate level in federal court.

Her experience includes:

  • Represents a CEO of a large oil and gas corporation in a civil forfeiture action seeking to recover a $300 million dollar asset that was seized by the Department of Justice.
  • Represents an individual accused of orchestrating a multi-million dollar pump and dump scheme in parallel SEC and DOJ proceedings.
  • Successfully secured the release of funds of an individual entrepreneur seized by state prosecutors in an investigation of alleged crypto fraud.
  • Representation of a large bank in an action involving alleged violations of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
  • Representation of a client in a civil jury trial involving sex trafficking allegations brought under the Trafficking Victims and Protection Act (TVPA) and tort claims in the Eastern District of New York.
  • Representation of a client in a criminal jury trial with a focus on RICO allegations in the Southern District of New York.
  • Successfully defending a foreign central bank against RICO and other claims brought by U.S. plaintiffs.
  • Representation of a journalist of a prominent media company against tort actions and various First Amendment challenges.
  • Conducted multiple internal investigations of sexual misconduct allegations brought against a variety of companies including a prominent media company.
  • Successfully secured Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC) benefits for a veteran.
