Goel’s attorney Adam Ford of Ford O’Brien Landy LLP, told the jury that Goel is being framed by Niranjan, the key witness in this trial, who secured a non-prosecution agreement and avoided the risk of deportation in exchange for his testimony.
“The evidence in this trial is going to show that Niranjan fabricated this story,” Ford told the jury.
